Mille Miglia fascination

Held for the first time in 1927, this famous race was run on a circuit consisting of a thousand miles of public roads, hence its name in Italian. From the start, the drivers’ and spectators’ enthusiasm knew no bounds – a situation that has not changed today. The legendary Mille Miglia race was revived in 1977 and since then has fascinated millions of people, year after year.
Audi Tradition too has been unable to resist this fascination, and had three attractive historic cars at the starting line on May 11 to 14, 2006: a blue Wanderer W 25 K, another W 25 K in black and a DKW 3=6 Monza.

Wanderer W 25 K
The Wanderer W 25 K sports car, with its attractive styling, is one of the stars of the Audi display. This roadster’s performance data are convincing too: its engine is supercharged and develops 85 bhp.

DKW 3=6 Monza
The DKW 3=6 Monza is probably the most sporty version of this unusual car. The “three equals six” in its name proved to be a “numbers game” with an effective advertising message.
