Audi extends DTM lead

DTM: Extension of the the lead and reduction of weight: in front of 80,000 spectators at the DTM’s fourth round at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz, Audi created an ideal starting base for its home race at the Norisring. Timo Scheider as the runner-up extended his lead of the standings from one to three points. The compact Audi team performance in the Lausitz region was completed by Mattias Ekström and Martin Tomczyk in places three and four. With Oliver Jarvis as the driver of a year-old car in eighth place, a fourth Audi factory driver finished in the points.

Contacts prevent Audi from winning at Salt Lake City

ALMS: Team Audi Sport North America’s pair of Audi R10 TDI prototypes had the chance to clinch another overall victory in the exciting fourth round of the American Le Mans Series near Salt Lake City (US state of Utah). After a dramatic finish, however, Audi had to be content with victory in the LM P1 class. Lucas Luhr and Marco Werner finished the race in seventh place overall and scored the maximum points in the LM P1 class for the third consecutive time, thus further extending their lead in the Drivers’ Championship.

1-2 victory for Audi Superstars drivers at Monza

Superstars: Audi Italia celebrated its second victory of the season in the Superstars series. After the Gianni Morbidelli’s exploit at the season opener at Vallelunga and a podium result of the brand at Mugello, Giorgio Sanna won the third round at Monza in the Audi RS 4. Team-mate Morbidelli, whose "sister car" was competing with 100 kilograms of additional ballast, completed the success into a one-two victory. The fruits of his labour: Morbidelli assumed the lead of the standings and now ranks points ahead of BMW driver Stefano Gabellini.
