Audi factory drivers Frank Biela and Emanuele Pirro further increased their lead in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).
In their Team ADT Champion Racing Audi R8 they finished third behind team-mates JJ Lehto and Marco Werner at Mosport, Canada. Chris Dyson and Andy Wallace, starting from pole position with their Lola, finished fourth after a slow puncture thus losing three more points to the Audi pairing.
JJ Lehto and Marco Werner, driving the second Audi R8, battled for the victory with the Dyson-Lola of Butch Leitzinger and James Weaver for the entire 2:30-hour distance. The lead swapped five times among the two cars before Lehto/Werner had to settle for second position.
