Exclusive and high-performance

The telephone unit, available as an optional extra, was developed specially for the Audi A8, Audi A6 and Audi Q7. It offers a dual-band/GSM car phone for use of D and E networks in combination with a user-friendly hands-free unit. High-performance digital technology eliminates disturbing road noise. The new SIM Access Profile (SAP) is in addition used, enabling the mobile – including with the handset – to be operated via Bluetooth without using the GSM module fitted in the mobile itself (no mobile phone adapter required).

Convenient: cordless handset

The Audi Bluetooth car phone is operated from the MMI or via the leather-covered multifunction steering wheel in conjunction with the driver information system. This provides direct access to entries and phone numbers in the address book.

A cordless handset with integral SIM card reader and colour monitor is also available as an option for the Bluetooth car phone. It permits discreet phoning and convenient texting with predictive text input.
