Communication Mobile phone preparation

Since 1 April 2004, German drivers conducting phone calls without using a hands-free unit have been liable to a 40 Euro fine and one penalty point on their driving licence. Using a mobile phone preparation avoids the risk of incurring such fines and enhances transmission and reception quality by using the integral external aerial. Moreover, your mobile phone fits seamlessly into the interior of your vehicle.

The universal system is prefitted for dual-band mobiles (D and E networks). The mobile phone preparation comprises a user-friendly hands-free unit, a high-performance external aerial and a charger. Your mobile phone is paired with the system by way of an adapter. Adapters can be obtained from your Audi dealer.

Extra-convenient: you can also operate the hands-free unit via the speak button on the adapter set or via an optional leather-covered multifunction steering wheel. If your vehicle is fitted with a driver information system, its display will show phone numbers and associated information held in the memory.
