The most important questions and answers about the iPod preparationCertain questions keep cropping up again and again – here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Audi iPod preparation. Can I also have the iPod preparation retrofitted? The iPod preparation can be retrofitted in many Audi models with factory-fitted radio systems. Information on which radio systems and navigation devices are supported is available from your Audi dealer. Can I listen to playlists with more than 99 tracks? The songs are displayed as Track 01, Track 02, etc., as on the CD changer. The numbering in the radio display goes up to Track 99. However, all tracks in a playlist can be played. If more than 99 tracks are stored in a playlist, only the final two digits of the track number are displayed for tracks numbered 100 and higher. In other words, track 201 is displayed as Track 01, and track 1037 as Track 37. Can I operate an iPod and a CD changer at the same time?Because the iPod preparation is connected to the radio's CD changer connection and is identified by the radio as a CD changer, it is not possible to operate an iPod and CD changer simultaneously. How do I disconnect the iPod from the adapter? The radio must be switched off when disconnecting the iPod from the adapter, to avoid malfunctions. Can I charge the iPod in the vehicle? As soon as the radio is switched on, the iPod's battery is charged via the adapter cable. When the radio is switched off, recharging of the iPod's battery also stops. Is all the information stored on my iPod displayed? As the iPod preparation is connected to the vehicle via the CD changer controls and the latter only envisages output of CD1-CD6 or tracks 1-99, information stored about the artist, track, album and genre cannot be processed and therefore not be displayed. | |
